Announcing the public preview of ExpressRoute Metro, a high-resiliency configuration designed to offer multi-site redundancy. With ExpressRoute Metro, you can benefit from a dual-homed configuration that enables diverse connections to two distinct edge sites within a city. This enhances reliability and uptime for your conectivity from on-premises to your critical workloads in Azure. The preview will initially feature the Metro architecture in the locations listed and will include support for ExpressRoute Circuits and ExpressRoute Direct (10G & 100G).

With the launch of this solution, ExpressRoute now offers three tiers of resiliency - Standard, High, and Maximum - empowering customers to configure their Circuits and Direct ports according to their preferred level of resilience.
