Services

Aure Functions now supports a fully browser based getting started experience with Visual Studio Code for the Web. Starting from the Azure Portal, with just a few clicks, you can now develop, run, test, debug and deploy your functions to the Function app. This feature is available for Python, Node and PowerShell apps in the Flex Consumption hosting plan. Using this feature, you can now evaluate the service or build a proof-of-concept quickly and easily, eliminating the need for a local environment setup. This also addresses known limitations of the current code editing experience in the Azure Portal like lack of IntelliSense, debugging and support for third party libraries. This complete experience comes preconfigured with all the required dependencies to develop Azure Function in Visual Studio Code for the Web even beyond the getting started scenarios.
