Azure Virtual Network Manager peering compliance is now generally available, providing a secure and compliant mechanism to protect network connectivity managed by Azure Virtual Network Manager.
In large-scale environments, it’s essential to prevent unintentional changes to critical connectivity configurations. With peering compliance, any virtual network peering created and managed through Azure Virtual Network Manager topology is safeguarded from accidental modification or deletion by virtual network owners outside of Azure Virtual Network Manager.
This release allows users to enforce compliance by restricting direct edits to key peering properties and preventing deletion of peerings. Changes can only be made through Azure Virtual Network Manager connectivity configurations, ensuring consistency and governance across your environment.
With this general availability release, customers gain stronger governance controls, reduced configuration drift, and higher confidence that network topologies remain secure and compliant across teams and subscriptions.
