Retirement: Containerized data connector agent for the Microsoft Sentinel solution for SAP applications

On September 14, 2026 we will retire the containerized data connector agent for the Microsoft Sentinel solution for SAP applications. After this date the agent will be permanently disabled and will stop sending SAP logs to Microsoft Sentinel. The SAP agentless data connector is generally available and is the replacement. Creation of new containerized agents is already disabled. How this affects you: If you use the containerized agent, SAP log collection through it stops on 14 September 2026\. Analytics rules, workbooks, hunting queries and playbooks that rely on this data will stop returning results for the affected SAP systems. Customers already using the agentless connector are not affected. There is no change to pricing or billing meters. What you need to do: Migrate to the SAP agentless data connector before September 14, 2026\. Migration runs side-by-side with no gap in coverage: deploy the agentless connector alongside your existing agent, validate log ingestion, then decommission the agent.
