Starting July 1, 2026, Microsoft Foundry agent security capabilities previously available through Microsoft Defender for Cloud will transition to a Microsoft Agent 365 license. Agent protection in Defender will be powered by Agent 365 observability logs and the Microsoft 365 agent registry — providing a unified source of truth for Microsoft Foundry agent inventory, real-time threat protection through a unified blocking platform, and consistent posture across cloud environments.
For tenants with an Agent 365-eligible license, these experiences will continue to be available through the Microsoft Defender portal. Equivalent Microsoft Foundry agent experiences currently available in Azure portal experiences are migrating to the Microsoft Defender portal for all customers.
